Mississippi Gourd Festival Vendors, 2014

Southern Gourds—Edwina Goff & Amanda Jones, Lucedale, MS—several varieties of washed gourds, crafted gourd bowls and birdhouses.

Nicky Blakeney, Taylorsville, MS—gourd dolls, bowls, baskets, ornaments, beads for gourd accents, and one-of-a-kind items.

Helen Looman, Yazoo City, MS—handcrafted gourds featuring woodburning, primarily the faux leather-tooled look.

Oak Grove Gourds—Cora Mae Overby, Oak Grove, LA—painted gourds, gourd baskets, gourd Christmas tree ornaments.  Painted gourds include Santa, Mrs. Claus, Uncle Sam, snowmen, penguins, etc.

Gourds by Glenn–Glenn Burkhalter, Gainesville, GA—raw and crafted gourds.  Glenn retired from growing gourds with his 2013 crop.  He will bring a good inventory of his straight and manipulated long handle dipper gourds. Glenn has sold his Alabama farm and moved to a “senior” village in Gainesville, GA.  He is in AL 3-4 days a week cleaning and selling the remainder of his gourds.  This may be his last gourd show with us.  Come and visit Glenn and his longtime friend and gourd “helper”, Grady Edwards.

Carol’s Crafts—Carol Maddox, Bossier City, LA—finished gourds, gourd supplies, QuikWood, books.  Carol had a mix-up on the dates.  She missed the festival and we certainly missed her being there as a vendor and teacher.
